a long time. He/she wants surety to be happy Puja is one of the ways to create inner
peace and happiness by following certain defined religious rituals. This puja takes
minimum a day and its depends further on the type of Puja Chosen.

Havan
It is shorter version of Yagya, where mantras are recited and various items such
as ghee, rice, herbs, foodstuffs, and other items are placed into the fire. Through
the mantras, fire, is asked to take the prayers and consumed the offerings to the
intended Divinity. For example, if one wanted to perform a Havan for increased health,
one could direct the offerings to the sun Deity - Surya. If one wanted rain, one
might direct their prayers and offerings to the rain Deity - Indra. If one wanted
to increase luck and general prosperity one could direct Agni to take the offerings
to Lord Ganesha and Mata Lakshmi, two Divinities in charge of luck and fortune.
In this way, during a Havan many Deities may be propitiated with a specific focus
on just one or two, depending on the purpose.

Yagya
It is considered to be a very powerful tool to send massage to god to achieve some
purpose. It is a ritual of sacrificing and sublimating the havana samagri (herbal
preparations) in the fire accompanied by the chanting of the Vedic mantras. It has
a three-fold meaning of worship of deities, unity and charity. An essential element
is the sacrificial fire - the divine Agni - into which oblations are poured. As
everything that is offered into the fire is believed to reach God. Various type
of Yagya is defined in vedas for which services are available. Yagya normally takes
more than a day.
